Little Herbalist’s Potion Kit
A potion kit for littles (ages 3+) to spark curiosity, awaken the senses, and inspire play. Each kit invites children to explore creativity, connect with plants, and maybe even grow a lifelong love for nature.
Made with safe, natural ingredients, this magical sensory kit encourages children to experiment with gentle medicinal herbs. They can create their own tea blends, colourful potions, simple oil infusions—or simply have fun and get a little messy.
How to use:
Set up your little alchemist somewhere safe to splash and play—outside on the grass, dirt, or another easy-to-clean space works best. Provide a few bowls (wooden or metal), strainers, and some warm water (this brings out the beautiful colour of the butterfly pea). Bonus points if you have a small mortar and pestle—perfect for grinding herbs, adding another layer of sensory play while supporting motor skills.
The Fizzing Fairy Dust transforms from pink to purple in water, creating a magical base for potions. Children can add herbs for extra texture, colour, and fragrance. Herbs can also be placed in the potion bottles, then covered with a carrier oil (such as olive or almond oil) and left in the sunshine for two weeks, shaking daily—creating their own simple herbal infused oil (Calendula is a lovely one to try!).
Keep the small parts (cork lid for potion bottle) away from babies and children who have an inclination towards ‘mouthing’.
